2022 Spotlight Award: Loretta Lynch

Former U.S. Attorney General, and Current Litigation Partner at Paul Weiss Honored with GlamourGals Spotlight Award

The award celebrates an individual’s professional and philanthropic achievements.

NEW YORK – Loretta Lynch, former U.S. Attorney General, and current Litigation Partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, has been announced as the winner of the GlamourGals Foundation’s fourth annual Spotlight Award. The award celebrates an individual’s professional and philanthropic achievements. Previous winners include Jill Centella of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Erika Engelson of Deutsche Bank, and Alina Casner of Quintum Management LLC.  GlamourGals’ 9th annual Illuminate event, hosted and underwritten by Andrew and Ann Tisch, will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Loretta exemplifies GlamourGals’ commitment to supporting women and girls of all ages.  She has been a champion of fighting for change in the legal profession for years, as she was the first African American woman to serve as the U.S. Attorney General.  GlamourGals’ mission of creating young leaders is also important to Loretta, who shares: “I think that all of you in GlamourGals are so fortunate to have this experience (that Christina is talking about), of connecting with someone in a different generation, because that really grounds you.  It centers you in a way that is hard to get otherwise". Loretta has supported GlamourGals by being the kickoff speaker at our GlamourGals Leadership Training Institute. She shared her experiences and words of advice to our teen volunteers to inspire and empower them.

This year’s Illuminate Celebration will be held in-person at the Harmonie Club in NYC. The evening will feature presentations from GlamourGals accomplished alumni, networking opportunities, and Spotlight award winner Loretta Lynch.  The event is co-chaired by Farrah Berse, Counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, and Garrison LLP; Jill Centella, J.P.
