It is with a heavy heart that I realize it is already time to say goodbye to my dear friends from GlamourGals. Due to the unfortunate circumstances, our school has been closed for the remainder of the year, along with the suspension of our GlamourGals meetings. For my final entry, I thought I would share a letter that I recently wrote to the ladies at our nursing home:

Dear Friends,

Words cannot express how much I miss each and every one of you. I hope you are doing well and staying healthy amidst the chaos of these unprecedented times.

As you probably already heard, schools are now closed through the end of the year, meaning our GlamourGals meetings are suspended for the remainder of the year. Since this is my senior year, that also means it is "goodbye". My heart is so heavy, and I wish I could come back a thousand more times. I also wish that these were not the unfortunate circumstances in which my GlamourGals career came to an end. However, I've found that gratitude is a great cure for the blues, so I want to take some time to thank each and every one of YOU!

First, thank you for the wonderful stories and jokes you shared! Hearing how each of you were doing, and the stories from your childhood, adulthood, or current life made me laugh, cry, and ALWAYS smile! Thank you for being willing to share with us girls!

Second, thank you for your words of wisdom. I can remember several makeovers coming preoccupied and worried about something, yet you all knew exactly the right thing to say- whether a sage piece of advice, a kind word, or a hilarious comment to lighten the mood and cheer me up! I don't think I ever left a makeover without a smile on my face!

Finally, thank you for being YOU! I can genuinely say you all are some of the most resilient, inspirational, people I have ever met. Witnessing the way you overcome challenges you face on a daily basis, and all with a smile on your face, is truly amazing. I hope one day to be as strong, determined, and beautiful as you are.

Once again, thank you for the wonderful memories. You all hold a very special place in my heart! I hope to visit as often as I can, and I can say on behalf of our underclassmen GlamourGals that they cannot wait to see you all again this fall! My Saturday afternoons will not be the same without you all.

Much Love,

Grace
