From recipes passed down through generations to memorable moments over store-bought cookie dough, there is something special about cookies.
The #dough4good campaign captures this spirit with Cookie Parties, bringing people together to make a heartfelt difference in the lives of teens and isolated seniors through the GlamourGals teen leadership program.
Why it matters
Up to 60% of the 1.4 million residents in senior homes across the U.S. never receive visitors. This social isolation leads to increased cognitive decline, as well as decreased physical health. Our volunteers are changing this with every visit.
#dough4good raises critical funds for the GlamourGals teen leadership training program, which provides training and educational resources for intergenerational volunteering in 100 communities around the U.S.
