GlamourGals Newfield High School Volunteers Welcome Community Leaders to their Makeover

Middle Island, NY (May 24, 2012)—The Newfield High School Chapter of GlamourGals Foundation will hold a makeover at the Crest Hall Care Center in Middle Island, NY on Wednesday, June 6 at 2:30pm.
The makeover will include special guests Rachel Doyle, GlamourGals Founder and President, and well as Jennifer Pastrich, the Press Secretary from the Office of Congressman Steve Israel. Israel stated, “I am impressed by the excellent work that GlamourGals does reaching out to and developing connections between
seniors and young women. I applaud Rachel Doyle and all the GlamourGals volunteers for embodying the values of service and leadership.”
Sarah Dow, Newfield High School’s Chapter President expressed her excitement about the upcoming makeover. “We hope for this event to really give the girls a chance to admire their elders, as well as to celebrate the joy that GlamourGals has to offer.”
In addition, Dow shared, “After conducting our normal makeover routine, each girl in our chapter will tell a little story about their experience as a GlamourGals Volunteer and present an award to a Senior. Our chapter has created certificates for each person.”

GlamourGals is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that has inspired and organized teens to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes since 2000. GlamourGals 68 Chapters across the country that engages over 1,400 teen volunteers to serve more than 2,000 senior women in 14 States.
