Part eight of "Real Gals" stars Carolyn Liou. She's in her mid-30s and she's lived in New York for the past seven years (she's currently on the Upper East Side). This past summer, she left the corporate finance world to take on a role at a friend's startup, PXA Corp, a finance data company. There she's the director of business strategy and operations. She's an interior designer at Kelly Rosen Design, she went to grad school for architecture, and she grew up in Oklahoma. Getting up in the morning or going after work to serve others gives me energy and makes me feel like a part of my community, and I’ve met new friends while volunteering."
