Our new chapter at West Stokes High School had their first makeover recently, with over 13 volunteers in attendance! Chapter president Lacy's enthusiasm makes us sure that this chapter will continue to achieve great things: “I cannot express how honored I am to be the president of such an amazing club. I cannot wait to visit more senior citizen homes in the future, and develop relationships with the women!”
"I loved seeing how happy they were about getting their nails painted and blush put on their cheeks. It made me thankful for the little things in life that I never really think about because it was so special to them. [...] I am going to do everything I can to make this chapter one of the best and make sure the residents that we visit feel loved every time." -Chancey, chapter vice president
"The lady I got to makeover today was so precious. Her name was Ruth, and she thanked me for making her pretty since she wanted to be pretty before she passed away. She was 92 years old and absolutely beautiful. Glamour Gals is definitely going to be one heartwarming, amazing club and I can't wait to visit more senior citizens and make them feel special." -Madison, chapter volunteer
"I [worked with] a woman that was more on the shy side, but it was not a problem for me as I continued to carry on a conversion with her. I think she will eventually come out of her shell after visiting the facility for a while. The other ladies had a great time as well! Their reactions were priceless and made you really appreciate all the people in your life." -Lacy, chapter president
Special thanks to the Women Helping Others Foundation for their support of new chapter development in 2016.
