GlamourGals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that inspires and organizes teens to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes. To date, GlamourGals has over 90 chapters across the country and engages over 1,300 teen volunteers to serve more than 2,500 senior women in 18 states.
GlamourGals board members, and event co-chairs, Allegra Cohen and Josh Wise, say, “Day in and day out, our volunteers dedicate their time to integrating themselves into the lives of elderly women who can't always make the effort for themselves anymore. We love GlamourGals because it promotes a sense of community, education, awareness, leadership, compassion, and is a phenomenal way to preserve a part of our history through stories and connection.”
GSA is a convening of GlamourGals volunteers, board members, and other influential taste-makers as they walk the hot pink carpet to celebrate, honor, and be inspired by the work our GG volunteers do in communities around the country.
This year, six outstanding GlamourGals volunteers have won Glammy Scholarship Awards and earned $1,000 college scholarships for their service with GlamourGals. This year's winners are:
Chapter President: Sarah Sandler, Sanford H. Calhoun High School.
