100 Mile Fundraiser for GlamourGals
As many of you know, each year I select a cause near and dear to my heart to raise money for. This past year, I was introduced to GlamourGals. I was so inspired by their mission and CEO, Rachel, that I became a member of the Executive Committee. Their mission is "To inspire and organize teen volunteers to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes." These teen volunteers grow into kind, compassionate, empowered women all while brightening a woman's day in a senior home.
We need more compassion and kindness in this world and too often women in senior homes feel isolated and lonely. This is why I have committed myself to running 100 miles of races in 2018 to raise awareness, support the development of compassionate, kind and empowered women and addressing the issue of elderly isolation.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps (including prayers). Thank you for all of your support over the years.
GlamourGals organizes teen-lead chapters in high schools and colleges. We currently have 105 chapters across the country visiting senior homes in their communities.
We are creating a movement of compassionate teen leaders who are working to end elder isolation.
