Why I support GlamourGals:
I support GlamourGals because it is a cause the is close to home with my grandmother being in a senior care facility. As a volunteer, I have seen the positive effects this program has on the volunteers and the women; and now as an advisory board member I have a full appreciation for the leadership opportunities the volunteers are provided.

Favorite Senior Moment:
When I was a volunteer at the SUNY Albany chapter, a husband used to bring his wife every time for the makeover.  He sat there with her the whole time.  She didn't speak much and we were worried she was not enjoying the experience.  Around the holidays, when the husband brought his wife, he gave us a gift of cookies and expressed how this program gave his wife something to look forward to.  This small gift and words of appreciation is the reason we all attend the makeovers and visit the women.  It was one of the best holiday gifts I received that year.
