Pixi Makeover at Ocean House

On Saturday, April 28, the residents of Brookdale Senior Living’s Ocean House in Los Angeles received a special visit from the Milken High School GlamourGals Chapter and Pixi Beauty.

GlamourGals volunteers received makeup training from makeup artist Colleen Lota, who taught them new tricks before making over the residents.
“It was so exciting to get the chance to learn how to put makeup on from a professional makeup artist!” said the Milken Chapter President, Chloe Shohed.

“Not only did we learn how to treat ourselves, but how to give the ladies the best makeover they can receive. It was so nice to get to use so many different types and shades of makeup, all provided by Pixi, and I was amazed to hear that each product is actually good for your skin, and will only make your skin look better when you take it off. This opportunity enhanced my GlamourGals experience!”

After watching Colleen Lota apply cosmetics on a volunteer, the Milken chapter got right to work, giving makeovers and manicures to the residents of Ocean House.

"We enjoyed being a part of this wonderful and inspiring event. What an incredible opportunity to bring women of all ages together, celebrating beauty. We support GlamourGals to encourage women of all ages to discover their own timeless beauty - inside and out," said Petra Strand, Founder of Pixi.
