GlamourGals volunteers are making a difference in the lives of many seniors...including men! Jessica Sofen, the chapter president of the Suffern High School Chapter in NY shared this photo from her last makeover at Esther Gitlow Towers.
Jessica learned about GlamourGals at HOBY NY, where she participated in the GG service project and gave one resident her first EVER manicure.
"With just a manicure, I feel like I'd changed that woman's life. And she changed mine," Jessica said.
Suffern High School's March makeover was particularly special for the volunteers because there were so many residents present, both men and women!
"Word traveled so fast about us in the home everyone knew who we were the second we walked in," Jessica shared.
"Lots of girls got to have great one-on-one conversations with the residents. One volunteer (Kate) sang for our guests and they loved her so much they asked if we could bring guitars and sing for them next time!"
A special thank you to the Suffern High School Chapter for making this such a special occasion for the residents.
