September: Getting Started By Tammy Tran TEHS
The start of the school year is almost here, and volunteers at the Thomas Edison Chapter are siked!
We've started making flyers to cover our hallways with, and created a Facebook group for students in our school to join. This year, our chapter's biggest goal is to recruit more dedicated volunteers, and instill in them a passion to volunteer in their communities. We also plan on getting other Edison students and staff involved through fundraisers and hot pink spirit days all year round!
Not to mention, all of our members are really excited for the upcoming events with GG National! Our first meeting is going to be on September 18th, followed by a September makeover soon after! Once things get rolling, we plan on having more makeovers than ever before!
Over the summer, I got a flip cam, and am excited to record bits of our chapter makeovers, meetings, and events to share on GG Chapters. Glamour Gals definately gives our volunteers a reason to be excited for the start of school! =]
