INDIANAPOLIS, IN (September 8, 2011)– GlamourGals Foundation will collaborate with Indy area knitters to host the Hot Pink Party, on Thursday, September 15th from 6:00-8:30 p.m at the beautiful 14 West, 14 West Maryland, Indianapolis. Knitters will be making hot pink scarves to mark the beginning of the autumn season and in honor of GlamourGals' signature hot pink color. Guests will have the opportunity to take home their scarves or donate it to Robin Run Village, a local senior facility, at the end of the event.

The GlamourGals' program enables teens in our community to gain critical leadership skills as well as to build relationships with elderly women in senior homes who may not have regular visits from family or opportunities for inter-generational activities. "GlamourGals allows youth participants to connect on a personal level with our senior residents and truly make a difference in their lives," says Indianapolis Mayor, Gregory Ballard.

Special Guests Terri Stacy, WIBC, and, Nikki Reed, Afternoon Drive Air Personality for 99.5 WZPL, will join the host committee and Indianapolis professionals to knit hot pink scarves, mingle with guests and enjoy food and drinks. Guests are welcome to keep their completed scarves or to donate them to GlamourGals who will gift them to residents of Robin Run Village at GlamourGals' Holiday Mega Makeover on Friday, December 9th. This event will allow guests to learn more about GlamourGals program, how to become further involved and raise awareness, and will raise funds to make expansion possible in Indiana.

Each guest will receive a gift bag worth over $100 which include knitting materials from Lion Brand Yarn, certificates and coupons from Indy vendors, and fresh water pearl earrings.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to help raise additional funds for GlamourGals and can win one of twenty items including: an autographed Peyton Manning Photographed, 2012 Indianapolis Indians tickets, knitting books and yarn baskets, autographed novels by popular female authors, gift cards to Indianapolis Melting Pot, Creation Café, and Euphoria, Glam Designer Resale Boutique, hand bags by Jag Baggs and Wimsical Dezigns, Stella and Dot jewelry and gift cards, and many other items.
