NEW YORK, NY (February 1, 2012) – GlamourGals Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Illuminate fundraiser on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Kitchen NYC, 146 East 44th Street, New York, NY 10017.
Join Chairwomen of Illuminate 2012, Lauren Ruotolo and Lynn Raynault and hosts including renowned Scotch Ambassador, Heather Greene, Partner at Fulbright & Jaworski and GlamourGals Executive Board Member, Gregg Berman, CEO and Founder of ZocDoc.com, Cyrus Massoumi, Fox 5's Weather Authority, Mike Woods, Celebrity Blogger, Micah Jesse, TV personality, Julie Alexandria, Actress and Model, Johanna Botta, and Film Producer, Allegra Cohen, to celebrate GlamourGals.
Illuminate 2012 VIP guests will be treated to a private scotch tasting with Heather Greene. All guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres provided by The Mansfield Hotel, specialty cocktails by Solerno, and desserts by Roxanna's Cupcakes, while listening to live performances by Ursa Minor and Celebrity DJs Jason Nevins and Jay Dabhi of 92.3 NOW.
Illuminate 2012 will also feature the rare experience for guests to share anecdotes and quotes about inspiring seniors in their lives. These short interviews will be filmed between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. and later posted to GlamourGals' online networks to help spread the mission and raise awareness about the program.
Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a live auction item; a private scotch tasting with Heather Greene. The silent auction will include luxury items from The Greenwich Hotel, Lilly Pulitzer, Furla, Lladro, Charles Jourdan, Michael Kors, L.A.M.B., and many others. Gift bags will be filled with items from Prettycity.com, Lather, Popchips, The Mansfield Hotel, and more.
Registration starts at $79 and will be available to purchase online at www.glamourgals.org until Thursday, February 2, 2012 at noon and will increase to $100 per person at the door if space permits.
In conjunction with the event, GlamourGals will host an online auction powered through charitybuzz. Bid on exclusive experiences including an internship to Hearst Magazines and a NYC getaway luxury package complete with a stay in a penthouse at The Mansfield Hotel, dinner for two at Hudson Hall, and two VIP tickets to Steve Cohen's Chamber Magic at the Waldorf-Astoria. Proceeds from this auction will support GlamourGals in boosting the self-esteem of two generations in a compassionate way while providing leadership opportunities for teens.
GlamourGals is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has inspires and organizes teens to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes since 2000. GlamourGals has 63 Chapters across 13 states that engages over 1,200 teen volunteers to serve more than 2,000 senior women.
