Making Our Chapter Last

Written by: Morgan, Delsea Chapter President

The Delsea GlamourGals chapter started the new year with a bang! Our first two meetings had over forty girls show interest, over double last year's counts! Last year, we were a chapter consisting of mostly juniors (who are now seniors), so we had to face the challenge of looking ahead into the future: making our chapter stay after we graduate. As a way to do this, we collaborated and came up with the idea to have an election for new officers as well as what we like to call a "shadow position." The shadow position is occupied by an underclassmen who can learn the ropes of the chapter from the senior officers. The shadows can gain knowledge and skills that can be used next year to successfully continue and expand Delsea GG. By having two people for most officer positions, we incorporate more of the group in decision making and responsibilities, as well as extending the contribution of new ideas. We are very excited about this year with GlamourGals, and we can't wait to use our new and improved chapter to bring smiles to the elderly women we work with :)
