Smithtown High School GlamourGals Chapter enjoys Saint Patrick's Day

"On Monday, we had our Saint Patrick's Day themed event! It was definitely one of my favorite events ever because all of the residents had fun wearing the green bead necklaces we gave out, and reading their shamrock cards that we made for them. It was so nice to give the ladies, and one man, the presents because their faces showed so much joy, and it was great to see them so happy.

A lot of the residents can get lonely, so it's amazing to have the opportunity to give them companionship and something to look foward to.

Although not everyone was Irish at this event, one of the residents, Joan, made a point to say, "Everyones Irish on St. Patrick's Day!" It put a smile on everyone's face to see how excited and spirited the residents can get. Who would have thought that a beaded necklace could bring so much happiness to somany people! The ladies definitely reminded me that it's the little things in life that mean the most."
