One of my favorite parts of GlamourGals is making crafts for the elderly residents and seeing their faces light up when we give them out.  Some of our more common crafts are cards, holiday decorations, and flowers in mason jars in the spring.  The most popular craft that we do, though, is purchase a bundle of white gloves and decorate them with fabric markers.

After my own grandmother constantly complained to me about having cold hands in her nursing home, I decided to make a solution.  Every year, when my chapter hands out the gloves at a makeover we run out very quickly and sometimes the ladies even ask us for a second pair. Now, thanks to funding from the AARP, we'll be able to make sure that every woman gets a pair of gloves, and we'll be able to come up with even more great craft ideas to make even more ladies happy!
